Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Near Madison Claims One Life and Injures Three Others

A deadly two-vehicle collision occurred near Madison, S.D., on Saturday morning, resulting in one fatality and injuries to three individuals.

The incident took place on South Dakota Highway 81 when a Chevrolet Cruz entered the oncoming lane and collided with a Ford F-250.

The 83-year-old male Chevrolet driver died at the scene, wearing a seatbelt.

The 22-year-old female Ford driver remained uninjured, also wearing a seatbelt.

Two 21-year-old male passengers sustained minor injuries, with one wearing a seatbelt, while the third 21-year-old male passenger suffered serious non-life-threatening injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt.

Names are being withheld pending family notification, and the South Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting a preliminary investigation into the crash.
