Gas prices in South Dakota have continued their downward trend, with the state’s average at $3.54 per gallon, down four cents from the previous week and more than 30 cents from the prior month.
However, the decline is slower this year due to persistently high crude oil prices.
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, keeping crude oil prices in the mid-$80s per barrel, is cited as a factor delaying the fall in gas prices.
On the other hand, the cost of diesel has seen a sharp increase, now averaging $4.65 per gallon in the state, up over 30 cents from the previous week.
