Gasoline prices in South Dakota have experienced a modest decrease, though they continue to hover close to the summer peak.
The latest survey by GasBuddy reveals that the state’s average gas price has declined by three cents to reach $3.71 per gallon.
Despite this decrease, the current price is still 27 cents higher compared to the previous month and approximately nine cents lower than the same period last year.
On a national scale, the average gas price has remained steady at $3.82 per gallon, while the average diesel price has increased by two cents, reaching $4.29 per gallon.
Potential refinery issues arising from Tropical Storm Hilary’s impact on California and the heightened Atlantic activity could introduce further unpredictability to gas prices in the upcoming weeks.
