Gas prices have surged in South Dakota, with the average price per gallon rising over 20 cents in the past week, reaching $3.62.
The national average has also increased by 16 cents.
Despite the recent hike, current prices remain 53 cents lower than the same period last year.
Diesel prices have followed a similar trend, rising 15 cents higher than the previous week, with a national average of $3.99 per gallon.
