Gasoline prices in South Dakota have dropped by 2.8 cents per gallon over the past week, averaging $2.75/gallon.
This marks a 13 cents per gallon decrease from a month ago and a substantial 60 cents per gallon decline from a year ago.
Nationally, the average gasoline price has risen by 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week, reaching $3.07/gallon.
Diesel prices have fallen slightly, standing at $3.87 per gallon.
GasBuddy’s Patrick De Haan suggests a potential rise in prices in mid-February through April or May, influenced by factors such as refinery shutdowns and geopolitical tensions.
