19-year-old Gavin Jensen turned himself in at the Clay County Jail after a warrant for his arrest was issued.
He was indicted for Second-Degree Rape and Fourth-Degree Rape in connection with a sexual assault incident reported on September 9 in Vermillion.
The incident was one of six warnings issued by the University of South Dakota this semester and involved an acquaintance.
Jensen has been released on a $15,000 cash/surety bond, and his first court appearance is scheduled for October 31 at 10 a.m.
