MADISON, S.D. – A young girl died Monday afternoon after being struck by a jet ski on Lake Madison.
The accident happened at approximately 2:00 p.m. near the public beach. A witness who lives on the lake said that a jet ski collided with a young girl who was on an innertube.
The girl, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. A doctor and nurse who were on the scene immediately began CPR, but were unable to save her.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident. No further details have been released at this time.
