Grand Jury Indicts Two Suspects in Brutal Murder Case in Sioux Falls

A grand jury has handed down indictments against Morningstar Jewett, 29, and Taylor Crossley, 26, in connection with the murder of 63-year-old Nigussie Bulti in Sioux Falls.

The charges include murder, manslaughter, and assault. According to court documents, Bulti’s body was discovered in a bag inside an apartment.

Jewett allegedly admitted to investigators that he used a piece of wood to strike Bulti’s head and assaulted him further after he fell.

Meanwhile, Crossley reportedly confessed to another inmate that she strangled and stabbed the victim, expressing the need to dispose of the body, possibly by dismemberment.

Both suspects are already in custody at Minnehaha County Jail on previous charges and are set to be arraigned on the new charges later this month.
