The Hardee’s fast food restaurant at the intersection of U.S. Highways 212 and 81 in Watertown has abruptly closed, with a notice posted on the door thanking patrons.
Employees reportedly received no prior notice.
This closure follows similar sudden shutdowns of Hardee’s locations in Brookings and Mitchell the previous week.
Hardee’s franchise owner, CKE (Carl Karcher Enterprises) Restaurant Holdings of Franklin, Tenn., oversees these closures, leaving employees and customers surprised and uncertain about the future of the popular burger chain in the region.
