Hibachi Grill Employees Charged with Harboring Undocumented Immigrants in Sioux Falls

Three former employees of Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet in Sioux Falls are facing federal charges for allegedly harboring undocumented immigrants and aiding their illegal entry and employment in the U.S.

The charges stem from actions between 2014 and 2023, where the accused encouraged immigrants to come to the U.S. for financial gain and provided housing, transportation, and withheld pay.

The U.S. Department of Labor had previously fined the restaurant for wage violations in 2022.

The defendants have entered pleas of not guilty and remain in custody, with further legal proceedings ongoing.
