The Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), led by Attorney General Marty Jackley, is conducting an investigation into an officer-involved shooting that occurred in Huron, South Dakota on a Thursday.
During the incident, one person sustained injuries, while the officers involved remained unharmed.
The DCI is collaborating with local and state law enforcement agencies, including the Huron Police Department and the Beadle County Sheriff’s Office, in the investigation process.
Their efforts include processing the crime scene, conducting forensic examinations of collected evidence, interviewing officers and witnesses, and reviewing surveillance footage from the area.
Once the investigation concludes, the DCI will release a comprehensive case report and shooting summary.
