Kyle Lou Ricke, a 43-year-old man from Northern Iowa, was arrested in Minnesota, Wednesday night after allegedly shooting an Algona police officer.
The incident occurred on the 1100 block of South Minnesota Street, leading to a Blue Alert being issued.
The officer’s identity and condition remain unknown.
Ricke was apprehended without incident approximately 100 miles north of Algona in Leavenworth Township, rural Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, and is currently held in the Brown County Jail.
