A 44-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries in a crash on Interstate 29 near the Lennox exit on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident involved the man’s Dodge Ram pickup crossing the median, entering a field, reentering the southbound lanes, and crashing into a semi-truck and trailer.
After leaving his vehicle, the man was hit by another vehicle while trying to reach a safety area.
He was airlifted to the hospital.
The crash, which occurred at approximately 3:17 p.m., is currently under investigation, and there were no other reported injuries.
