Mail Theft Spree Around Lake Kampeska near Watertown Leads to Swift Arrests

The Watertown Police Department responded to a report of suspects pilfering mail from various mailboxes around Lake Kampeska.

The culprits, identified as Thomas Breese and Jarid Armstrong, were apprehended after officers found their gray Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The duo had vandalized and taken mail, including Christmas cards and packages, from hundreds of mailboxes.

Charges were filed, and the case is being considered for federal charges by the U.S. Postal Service.

The community’s quick response was commended by the police, who urge residents to take precautions and report any relevant surveillance footage.
