A 5th-grade teacher in Slayton, Minnesota, Nathan Wieneke, is facing six charges of sexual misconduct with a child under 14, along with two counts of witness tampering, following an investigation prompted by reports of inappropriate touching and behavior towards students.
Allegations include rubbing students’ backs, making them feel uncomfortable with comments, and touching their bare skin.
These incidents are said to have occurred between September 6, 2022, and April 19, 2023.
Wieneke, 29, is currently on administrative leave, and his first court appearance is scheduled for October 2.
