Mitchell Area May Virtual Hiring Event

PIERRE, S.D. – The Department of Labor and Regulation Mitchell Job Service in coordination with the Mitchell Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a virtual hiring event on Wednesday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT.

This virtual hiring event is designed to allow job seekers to visit online with employers in the Mitchell area to learn about their companies and job openings, and potentially interview on the same day.

Participating businesses can build brand awareness, find an untapped pool of qualified candidates, benefit from real-time interactions with potential employees, and save time and money finding qualified employees.

Registration is required for both job seekers and businesses. Go to dlr.sd.gov/virtual-job-fairs.aspx, find the Mitchell event, and click the appropriate registration link.

Businesses and job seekers may register up to the day of the event. Registering in advance will provide opportunities to review user guides offered within the virtual platform before the event.

A Company/Recruiter Training Session will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 1:15-2:15 p.m. CDT to walk employers through the steps to build their virtual booth. Details on the session will be provided after registering.

All hiring events are offered to businesses and job seekers free of charge.
