The Mitchell City Council on Monday voted 7-0 to revoke Speedy Taxi’s ride service license after operator Dustin Feistner was arrested on drug charges earlier this month.
Feistner argued against the revocation.
He told the council he’s innocent and plans to fight the charges.
City attorney Justin Johnson told the council it’s up to them to determine whether the claims against Feistner are credible or not.
Councilor Susan Tjarks said she wanted to let the court proceedings play out before reinstating the license.
The revocation was based on the risk of public safety.
