Murder suspect in Yankton enters plea

A plea has been entered by a man who stands accused of fatally stabbing a woman in Yankton, South Dakota.

On Thursday, 31-year-old Adrian Lund pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a controlled substance. The charges stem from the alleged murder of 33-year-old Timber Rose Cournoyer.

Law enforcement officials reported that the incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on Monday, May 22. Responding to a call, officers arrived at a Yankton apartment and discovered Cournoyer with a stab wound to her chest.
