Hanson County authorities have identified the victim of a fatal ATV accident that occurred on July 14 near Epiphany, South Dakota.
The victim, 57-year-old John Zens from Canova, S.D., was driving east on 244th Street when he came off the ATV, which then went into a ditch.
He was airlifted to Sanford in Sioux Falls but died of his injuries on July 18. T
he Department of Public Safety has stated that the reason for him coming off the ATV before the accident remains undetermined.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
