Navigator CO2 Ventures has finished presenting its main case in the application to the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for constructing a carbon dioxide pipeline in parts of the state.
However, the company faced challenges from landowners’ attorney Brian Jorde, who made two motions to dismiss the application, citing failures to meet PUC standards and notify affected landowners.
PUC commissioners previously ruled on one motion, but all three commissioners voted to dismiss Jorde’s motions.
The hearings will conclude on Saturday, and the PUC has until September to reach a decision on Navigator’s application.
