North Dakota Woman Arrested and Charged with Poisoning Boyfriend for Financial Reasons

In North Dakota, 47-year-old Ina Thea Kenoyer has been arrested and charged with a class AA felony murder for allegedly poisoning her boyfriend, Steven Edward Riley, Jr., who died last month.

Authorities suspect financial motives behind the murder.

Riley, a 51-year-old man from Minot, was in a relationship with Kenoyer, also from Minot. Riley’s official cause of death was determined to be poisoning following an autopsy.

Kenoyer is currently in custody, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Riley’s death is ongoing.

This incident is part of a disturbing trend, marking at least the fourth case this year in the U.S. where individuals have been accused of using poison to kill their spouses or partners.
