PIERRE, S.D. – The Department of Labor and Regulation Mitchell Job Service, in coordination with the Platte Area Chamber of Commerce, is sponsoring a virtual hiring event on Thursday, June 20, from 3-6 p.m. CDT.
This virtual hiring event is designed to allow job seekers to visit online with employers in the Platte area to learn about their companies and job openings, and potentially interview on the same day.
Participating businesses can build brand awareness, find an untapped pool of qualified candidates, benefit from real-time interactions with potential employees, and save time and money finding qualified employees.
Registration is required for both job seekers and businesses. Go to dlr.sd.gov/virtual-job-fairs.aspx, find the Platte event, and click the appropriate registration link.
Businesses and job seekers may register up to the day of the event. Registering in advance will provide opportunities to review user guides offered within the virtual platform before the event.
All job fairs and hiring events are offered to businesses and job seekers free of charge.
