Questions Surround 2022 Sioux Falls Homicide Case as Suspects Are Released

A homicide case from 2022 has raised new questions after all four suspects charged in connection to the death of 36-year-old Tunis Lomax are now out of custody.

The suspects, aged 18 to 20, were arrested eight months after Lomax’s body was found near 26th Street and Bahnson Avenue in Sioux Falls.

Despite initial murder or manslaughter charges, no one is currently charged with Lomax’s death. Two suspects had their cases closed entirely.

The investigation remains open, with police continuing to investigate Lomax’s death.
