Quincy Bear Robe Sentenced to 75 Years for 2022 Killing at Grand Gateway Hotel

Quincy Bear Robe of Rapid City was sentenced this week to 75 years in prison for the 2022 killing of 19-year-old Myron Pourier at the Grand Gateway Hotel.

Bear Robe pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter and accepted a plea agreement.

The sentence exceeded the state’s recommendation, with the prosecution seeking a maximum of 75 years, ten suspended, and dismissing all remaining charges.

Senior Deputy State’s Attorney Rachel Lindsay emphasized Bear Robe’s lack of remorse and understanding of his actions, stating that Pourier died because of Bear Robe’s reckless and senseless acts.
