On Tuesday morning, Rapid City Police responded to a call on the 5000 block of Dane Lane, where they discovered a Native American woman deceased.
Assistant Police Chief Scott Sitts described the death as suspicious.
The woman’s identity will be withheld until her family is notified. Rapid City Police and the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death, with an autopsy scheduled soon.
