Rapid City Shooting Claims Life of 18-Year-Old Central High School Football Player

Rapid City Police confirmed the death of 18-year-old Marquise Walker following a Monday night shooting near an apartment on the 4000 block of Range Road.

Walker, a senior and football player for Central High School, was one of three men hospitalized after the incident.

The shooting occurred around 9:20 p.m., and authorities believe all individuals involved knew each other.

While the investigation is ongoing, police have stated there is no further threat to the public.

Walker succumbed to his injuries at Monument Health hospital.
