Law enforcement in rural Lincoln County is conducting a search for a person believed to have been hit by a vehicle.
A stolen car was found near an intersection close to the Iowa border, and officials on the scene noticed damage on the vehicle, including blood on the car and damage to the windshield.
Concerned that the victim may not have received help, authorities are searching nearby fields and ditches with the assistance of Lincoln County Sheriff, Emergency Management, and the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
A drone is also being used to aid in the search efforts.
