Series of Sexual Assaults Shake University of South Dakota Campus

Since the start of the semester on August 21, the University of South Dakota has reported four sexual assaults.

These incidents, involving acquaintances of the victims, were disclosed to the University Police Department and subsequently shared with the campus community.

The assaults occurred on various dates, with investigations ongoing by the Vermillion Police Department.

USD issued warnings in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Act, emphasizing the safety of the campus community.

The university also provides resources and prevention programs to address sexual violence.
