Sioux Falls Fire Rescue swiftly responded to a structure fire at a residence on 6804 W. 64th Street on Friday afternoon.
The fire, located on the first floor, was confined and extinguished within five minutes.
There were no occupants inside the home, but one civilian was injured, and one pet lost its life.
The extent of the person’s injuries remains unknown, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
