Sioux Falls Home Hit by Vehicles Twice in Two Years, Residents Seek Safety Measures

A Sioux Falls home, owned by the Peterson brothers, was struck by a car for the second time in two years when a 40-year-old man crashed his SUV into the house at around 10 pm this past Friday.

He was arrested for DUI, marking his second offense.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. In 2021, another impaired driver hit the same house and a neighboring one, resulting in injuries to Jason Peterson.

The brothers have met with city officials multiple times to discuss installing a barricade for safety, but have been told it could pose a risk to drivers.

This recurring danger has left the Petersons anxious about future incidents.
