Sioux Falls Man Accepts Plea Deal in Idaho Pride Event Riot Plot

James Michael Johnson, a Sioux Falls man involved in an alleged plot to riot at a Pride event in northern Idaho, accepted a plea agreement, admitting to participating in an assembly without a permit.

His original charge of conspiracy to riot was dismissed, leaving an infraction on his record.

Johnson was ordered to pay a fine of $456.50. In June 2022, he was arrested along with 29 others, who were found in a U-Haul with riot gear.

The group, believed to be affiliated with a white nationalist organization, was stopped just north of the Pride event in Coeur d’Alene.
