Sioux Falls Man Charged with Felonies After Road Rage Incident in Minnesota

A Sioux Falls man is facing felony charges after a road rage incident that left a woman’s car damaged and her feeling shaken.

33-year-old James Alan Burrage is accused of boxing in the woman’s car on Minnesota 60 near Wilder on Friday afternoon. He then allegedly threw a piece of concrete at her car and began hitting it with a baseball bat.

The woman told authorities that she had seen Burrage throwing concrete on the highway earlier in the day, so she called 911 when she saw him coming back toward her. She said she was afraid that he was going to kill her.

A deputy who responded to the scene observed a small dent and scratches on the woman’s car, as well as multiple small dents caused by the baseball bat. Burrage was arrested and charged with felony counts of threats of violence and first-degree criminal damage to property.

The woman was not injured in the incident.
