Sioux Falls Man Sentenced to 21 Years in Prison for Providing Drugs Leading to Death

Armando Angel Cheshier of Sioux Falls has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for charges related to the death of 19-year-old Kaylee Teppo in 2021.

Cheshier was convicted in 2022 of providing drugs to Teppo, which led to her death. Despite attempts to avoid a possession charge, including flushing and swallowing pills, Cheshier ultimately faced sentencing.

During the sentencing, he expressed remorse and apologized to Teppo’s family.

The judge ruled against an obstruction of justice enhancement but considered Cheshier’s youth and addiction during the sentencing.

Cheshier will serve a total of 61 years, with three years of supervised release, and must pay restitution to Teppo’s family.
