SIOUX FALLS – Police arrested a suspect on Tuesday morning after he allegedly threatened people and shot fireworks at them from his vehicle near downtown Sioux Falls.
The incident happened at 2 a.m. near 14th and Phillips Ave. Witnesses reported that the suspect, 28-year-old Dakota Cain of Beresford, drove his vehicle at them, threatened them with a knife, and shot fireworks at them.
Police responded to the scene and arrested Cain. He was charged with one count of aggravated assault.
Cain is being held in the Minnehaha County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 11.
