Authorities in Sioux Falls are investigating an incident where a man was found bound and screaming for help in an apartment after his car was stolen Friday morning.
The Sioux Falls Police Department received a call from a resident who heard the man’s cries for help. Upon arriving at the scene at 12:20 am, officers discovered the man inside the apartment, bound and assaulted.
The victim informed the police that he had been brought to the apartment by a third party, and his car had been taken. The suspect’s identity remains unknown, and the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
Within the past 24 hours, there have been nine reports of stolen vehicles in Sioux Falls, with a recurring pattern of unlocked cars or vehicles left with keys inside.
