Sioux Falls Shooting at Dunham Park Leaves One Dead and Three Hospitalized

On Sunday, August 25, a shooting at Dunham Park in Sioux Falls resulted in the death of 29-year-old Joshau Antrell Allen Jr. and left three others injured.

The incident occurred around 4:21 p.m. during a large gathering, with police receiving multiple calls reporting gunfire.

Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.

The three injured victims, all from Sioux Falls, are hospitalized, with some suffering life-threatening injuries.

Handgun shell casings from different firearms were found at the scene, but the total number of shooters remains unknown.

The park is currently closed as the investigation continues, and this marks the sixth homicide in Sioux Falls in 2024.
