On Sunday morning, Sioux Falls police arrested a woman for arson after she set a car and a tree on fire.
The incident occurred at 10:45 a.m. near 2nd Street and Prairie Avenue. The woman poured gasoline from a gas can on a car parked in the 800 block of N. Prairie and then ignited it. She later set a tree on fire in the 900 block of W. 2nd Street.
Authorities found her in the area with the gas can and charged her with two counts of Arson, two counts of Reckless Burning, and one count of Intentional Damage to Property.
There is no known connection between the suspect and the car.
