The South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks Commission held its October meeting in Deadwood, discussing various modifications and proposals.
Changes were made to the Hunt for Habitat raffle package, adjusting available licenses.
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day exemptions for park entrance and fishing licenses were removed.
The possibility of discontinuing the one-day nonresident fishing license was discussed, with further action postponed to the November meeting for more public input.
Public comments on these proposals can be submitted until October 29, and the next Commission meeting is scheduled for November 2-3 in Madison.
