Manford Adkins, a prisoner who was incarcerated at the South Dakota State Penitentiary, has passed away at the age of 76.
The South Dakota Department of Corrections confirmed Adkins’ death through a press release issued on Wednesday.
According to the announcement, Adkins died on Saturday, but no details regarding the cause of his death were provided. Despite requests for additional information, the Department of Corrections officials have not responded at the time of this report.
Adkins was serving multiple life sentences in the South Dakota State Penitentiary for the charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping with gross physical injury.
