Hadley Stiefvater, a senior from South Dakota State, a Salem native and a former FFA chapter president, has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious American Star Award in Agriscience.
The award, presented by the Future Farmers of America, recognizes exceptional students in farming, agribusiness, agricultural placement, and agriscience.
Stiefvater’s journey from a shy middle-schooler to a confident, intelligent young woman in the FFA has been marked by hard work, leadership, and dedication to agriscience.
Her passion for agriscience, fueled by her family’s veterinary practice, has made her a role model in her community.
The winners of the American Star Awards will be announced at the National FFA Convention & Expo in November.
