The State of South Dakota is still dealing with a number of disasters, some years old.
Kristi Turman, Director of the State Office of Emergency Management, says they are still working off a storm from 2013.
Turman says they also are cleaning up from several more recent disasters.
Members of the interim Appropriations Committee also had questions about funding for sending state National Guard troops to the Texas border.
Public Safety Department finance director Angie Lamieux said the books are still open on that action.
There was a $1 million donation from an out of state source to fund part of that operation.
