Suspicious Phone Calls to Brookings Convenience Stores

Brookings Police are warning convenience store and gas station owners and managers about a recent string of suspicious phone calls. The caller claims to be a manager or owner of the business and asks how much money is in the till and how many people are in the store.

Police believe these calls are part of a scam and are asking store owners and managers to be vigilant. They should discuss and review safety procedures with their employees and report any suspicious activity to the police.
