Sioux Falls Fire Rescue promptly extinguished a small fire at a downtown convenience store’s gas pump after a driver struck it around 4:20 a.m. on Sunday.
The impact knocked the pump over, causing a brief fire at its base.
Fortunately, firefighters efficiently controlled the situation, crediting the pump’s automatic shut-off for minimizing damage.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
