A 16-year-old boy was arrested following an accidental shooting of a 17-year-old girl at an apartment in Watertown where a group had been drinking.
The incident, initially reported from a Burger King, took place on Sunday night.
While handling a loaded pistol under the influence of alcohol, the boy inadvertently shot the girl in the foot.
The boy now faces multiple charges, including Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.
The injured girl was treated and released from Prairie Lakes Hospital, and the specific location and names of those involved have not been disclosed by the police.
