A tractor was destroyed by fire in Turner County on Saturday night. The fire occurred northwest of Chancellor, just before 10 p.m.
The Chancellor Community Fire Department responded to the scene and was assisted by the Parker Volunteer Fire/Rescue. When firefighters arrived, they saw that the tractor was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was spreading towards a nearby barn and livestock, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze and prevent further damage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is believed to have started in the tractor’s engine compartment. No injuries were reported.
