A young boy from the Tschetter Hutterite Colony in Hutchinson County, South Dakota, who went missing near the James River on Tuesday night, has been found dead.
The search, which involved multiple local and specialized Canadian rescue teams, ended on Wednesday when his body was recovered near where he was believed to have fallen in.
Hutchinson County Sheriff Maurice Waltner, who confirmed the discovery, provided no details about the child’s age or gender.
The search was conducted with advanced sonar equipment and involved numerous local emergency teams.
More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
