Francis Lange, the man responsible for a triple murder in Scotland, South Dakota, has been sentenced to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
On Monday, the judge handed down three life sentences without the possibility of parole for the murders, to be served consecutively.
In November 2021, Lange entered a home and shot everyone inside, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, with two others, including a child, surviving.
Although Lange pleaded guilty, he was found to be mentally ill.
Additionally, he received a 15-year sentence for each of the shooting survivors, to be served consecutively after the life sentences, totaling 30 additional years of imprisonment.
