Two people were hospitalized after a shooting in Aberdeen on December 10.
Police responded to the scene on North Congress Street around 11 a.m. and found one individual with a gunshot wound. The second person involved fled, but was located about 40 minutes later when a South Dakota State Trooper spotted the suspect’s vehicle.
Both individuals were transported to a local hospital with apparent gunshot wounds.
Authorities confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public, and all involved parties have been accounted for.
The incident, which occurred near O.M. Tiffany Elementary School, did not involve the school, and no students were injured.
Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to call 605-626-7911. Several local agencies, including the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Aberdeen Fire Rescue, assisted in the response.
