On Monday, May 29, two people were hospitalized after a plane crash near Larchwood, Iowa.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-engine airplane crash south of the Larchwood Airport runway at 1:21 p.m.
Two people were in the plane at the time of the crash. One was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The other was taken by ambulance to the same hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
