The Sioux Falls Police Department is investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash involving seven juveniles that occurred on Saturday morning.
At around 6:08 a.m., a Dodge Durango SUV traveling east lost control and collided with a tree and a house at the intersection of East 18th Street and South 2nd Avenue.
Two minors were found dead at the scene, while the remaining five occupants sustained severe injuries and were transported to area hospitals.
Speed and lack of seatbelt usage are believed to be contributing factors.
The crash is under investigation, and authorities have not released further details about the occupants due to their ages.
